i just had a baby 3 mo. ago and i have felt really depressed since then... but my depression has nothing to do with me not fitting into clothes or something, my depression is over my mortality and the mortality of those i love, and also over my faith. please help!

Yes, that is postpartum depression. ANY spell such as yours after delivering a baby directly hails from the drop in hormones and the body no longer holing new life inside it. Go see your doctor, sometimes taking a small dose of hormone balancers can clear your day right up. Good luck!

It certainly could be.

When I had PPD I felt like my husband and daughter would be MUCH better off without me, and that the best thing I could do for everyone was to literally run away from home. I also cried a LOT, and didn't take very good care of myself. I wouldn't leave the house for days. Everything felt bad. I felt like I would never be happy again, and any happiness I ever thought I had experienced in the past was a lie.

If you suspect that you have PPD, you really should talk to your doctor right away. Zoloft is a BEAUTIFUL thing!!! Good luck.

I think that postpartum can be exactly what you have explained or as simple as being depressed because you don't fit in your clothes. The best thing to do is contact your doctor right away as this is something you do not want to let build. I am 37 weeks pregnant now and hoping to skip the whole postpartum ordeal. I wish you luck. :)

Just like pregnancies, no two ppds are alike. Yes sounds like you are suffering ppd. You might want to discuss your feelings with your doctor, he/she can help.

Definitely see a doctor, maybe your OB/GYN can help. As far as your faith, talk to your clergyperson or someone at your church you can trust.

it sounds like the beginning of PPD...but u should really see a doctor for help, and they would refer you to a psychologist.
