FIRST!!! Check out the Committee for Safety of Foreign Exchange Students www.csfes.org There are no fingerprint-background checks of host families and many teenagers have been victims of extortion, rape and other crimes. Not trying to scare you just to open your eyes. If you end up in a bad family in a foreign country as a minor you will be in big trouble. It is better to wait until college. Then a great country to visit would be Australia but not at your age.

I think that you shouldnt just search any sites. Go to the foreign exchange program at your university and I'm sure they will be happy to tell you some good websites. Some of the programs they mention are probably with connection with your school and that will help alot, because your financial aid can be used to pay for your time in those countries. If you have any other questions regarding this, I'll be happy to help. You can email me at: sarah88rin@yahoo.com. Good luck!!!

You could try Youth For Understanding.
I went to Japan through YFU, but there are many different programs to lots of different countries. You could go for a summer term.

They also have scholarships and nice orientations.
