hi iv been trying for over a year and recently iv been trying to detect by mucus but i can't seem to find any reallly streachy stuff its sticky but not really steachs does that mean im not ovoulating?

Your best bet is to try ovulation prediction strips or a fertility monitor.....It's so much easier (to me anyway) than trying to figure it out by mucous...Mine isnt stretchy at any time of the month and I know I ovulate because I have been pregnant.....I use the clear blue easy fertility monitor....its so much easier....Good Luck!

Like everyone has said it looks a lot like raw egg white however it could also be more watery it doesn't necessarily have to be stringy or stretchy, but it should be completely clear and there should be more of it when you are ovulating than during any other time of your cycle. If you are having trouble with it I would 1) read up on it. There is a really easy read called The Mother of All Pregnancy Books it talks about the whole process of making a baby that might be helpful. It actually talks about numerous ways to track your ovulation and 2) if you just can't get the hang of it use an OPK like clear blue. If still no luck you might want to see a doctor.

Is ur period cycle regular? When u r ovulating, u may experience a pinching pain on ur left/right side of the uterus, at that time u can try to check ur vaginal mucus. It is raw egg white color and rather stretchy. If u tink u r not ovulating, u may want to seek professional help.. doc may prescribe clomid to induce ovulation. Warning, may result in mutiple births.. Good Luck!

Maybe the description of stretchy is misleading you... not to get too graphic for you but in my case it is more stringy. I find that it would look like if you had a runny nose that was clear. Think about blowing your nose.. it is kind of stringy more than stretchy. I mostly notice it when i go to the bathroom and wipe. Check the tp to see if you see anything that looks clear and stringy. It looks and feels just like egg whites--and occurs 10-14 days after the 1st day your period began.
