p.s keep in mind that superman does not face any important issues in our world today but xmen faces racism, and portrays it very accurately, so kkeep in mind, the question is not who would win in a fight but which movie is better.

I love X-Men but he 3rd movie sucked big time..It was done just for the shake tobe done. Superman returns was nothing impressive. Well I choose X-Men just for the sake of my love to this comic & teams with special powers in general.

I didn't even need to put any "issues"(which I don't really think of when watching a movie, EXCEPT the Xmen ones) into consideration to know that Xmen is better. In Superman returns, all of them except Perry White, Mrs. Kent, her new guy, and Lex Luthor are under thirty, and to me that isn't realistic. Plus, the movie shamelessly plumbed the first movie for dialogue and other things, which I didn't really care for. It was extremely derivative. It just was not as good a movie all the way around as Xmen 3 was, and that's really not saying that much.

As far as "outdoing" I think it's hard to say. Certainly the effects will be better, but effects don't necessarily make a movie. Superman was groundbreaking for its time and remains a classic. Only time can tell if Superman Returns comes on strong and then fades or becomes an enduring classic.

xmen,its a no brainer.superman returns sucked anyways.too long of a movie.it could have been shrunk down.either way i hate superman.
