Yes!!

I'm so glad I'm not the only with that problem. I wondered how it got that way since it was just purchased last month and stored in my pantry.

Did you taste it?

ECK. It tastes worse than it looks if you can believe that. I threw them all away, I think I had four of those buggers. I'll never buy that again. Instead I just bought jello french vanilla pudding and made it myself.

I can remember buying that only a few months ago, and it was a nice creamy texture. I agree that you should give Gerber a call or send them an email. It could be just that one container that you bought, but it might mean that they need to recall that whole batch if something was off with it.

There should be some numbers on the packaging (I don't have anymore of those plastic containers anymore, so I don't know where exactly to tell you to look) that the company rep will want, so that they can tell which batch it came from.

Good luck!

My youngest will be 2 in a couple weeks, but I agree, that doesn't seem right. My kids loved the custard and I also remember it to be creamy. I would email Gerber with the packaging info. I have found most companies are very receptive to feed back. I have received ample compensation by way of coupons when I expressed dissatisfaction. I'm sure an upstanding company like Gerber will appreciate the time taken to inform them of this. It might be a "bad batch".

They are supposed to have breast milk till they're one. but you can start giving them solids also at 6 months. I don't understand, however, why anyone would want to give a baby that young pudding. Safe or not, you're starting the sweet tooth early! Go with Gerber stage 1 veggies.

I think you're smart not to give it to her. With baby food, my rule has always been "when in doubt, throw it out."

The 50 cents you paid for it isn't worth making baby sick. You can probably take it back to the store and tell them that it was off, or call Gerber and get a coupon for a replacement.
