I really like to open up the dungeon in my mind cram those b@stards in there and lock them up. I also have a Ghostbustersesque Containment Unit that I store them in.

I think it's pretty healthy.

I put them in the deepest, farthest place in the back of my mind. A place that I or know one can go or would want to go! Sometimes they find the key and I have to lock them back up!

You are right! lol
but I think you have to face that they were there just the same
but yes its simple in a sense to know that if you think of
bad
sad
mad or what ever memories it will make you
unhappy
so you need to train yourself to not think of them
when they pop into your mind you FORCE yourself to think of some happy thing etc

I imagine a big garbage can in my mind, and myself putting them in there. At the bottom of the can is an endless firey pit where the memories burn up.

Gotta get rid of them somehow.....

Mull them over, talk about them, feel the feelings, blame your parents, realize how dysfunctional your family was/is, cry, mourn your childhood, forgive your parents, laugh about how you could never laugh about them before.
