I've got the same problem. Bordom at work. I'm at work now... and you see what I'm doing. Often I read, and sometimes even write.. I love fan-fiction. I've taken up crochet... making afghans which I end up using as gifts for friends and family whenever an opportunity crops up. I brows the internet till that's boring. We have WebSense at work that blocks a lot of sites. So I can't see any game sites, or anthing that might be considered 'dating and personals,' even if its really not. I play games on the computer till I'm brain dead. One more game of Free Cell Solitare and I'm going to strangle my co-worker. She's hooked on TaiPai. It is habit forming too. We've got a TV, but honestly, late night TV is really, but really bad. (We work 6p to 6:30a) Infomercial after infomercial and one can only stand the Weather Channel for so long. I try not to nibble and eat too much out of bordom, but its hard. I brought an exercise ball to work and manage to get in a couple of hundred crunches at a time.
Oh...during all this I'm actually working, it just doesn't look like it. We mostly just monitor communications between major applications and system backups.
After I browse a few more questions, think I'll go back to reading for a while. I ordered a few more book off Amazon a few minutes ago, so I'll have another new stock of books to read in the coming weeks.
Oh, well. At least I still have a job.....
