Well, the most common actually method came along with the release of the Nano and the Shuffle. They were so small, people forgot they were in their pockets, and into the washer/dryer they went.

And as euphemistically, the easiest is to plug it into your Laptop computer and leave it there for a week or two straight.

1) Laptop power supplies are not designed to charge other objects, and do not have sufficient power output to properly charge the Lithium Ion battery inside the iPod.
2) There is no charge-regulator. The iPod does not know when it is finished charging, and will continue to accept power from the USB port, eventually hosing the battery.

At least, this was the explanation given to me by HP when they replaced my 6GB iPod Mini+HP under warranty. =)

1 iPod
1 cup of diced red onions
tbsp of olive oil or butter
3 cups of white mushrooms (optional)

Saute onions and mushrooms in tbsp of olive oil or butter in a medium sized skillet on medium high heat. Add iPod. Stir occassionally. Cooks in about 10 minutes. Serve with bread and a green vegetable.
