My daughter is 17 months old and her name is Jane. I love it :-) It's perfect because nothing rhymes with it making her a target for name calling, it's old fashion and never ever heard. You won't find another Jane in her class. I call her "Janie" and it fits her perfectly. It can be a serious name or a delightfully spunky name really- my daughter is full of life- wild, outgoing and the name Jane is just wonderful. Her full name is Jane Audrey. So yes, hands down, Jane wins. If you're looking for a simple, strong, name, Jane is the winner. I can't tell you how many times we've told people her name and they respond with "oh, I knew a Jane" and how wonderful that Jane was in their lives. Jane makes me smile and makes my life complete. Hopefully a 'Jane' will bless your life as well!!!

I like the name Annie better because Jane is a bit more old fashioned. I personally think Gracie is a nice name.

I don't really like Annie as a fully name, I like Anna though, a lot. I guess I'll say Jane! You never hear it anymore, and it's very pretty. But if it's between Anna and Jane, I say Anna. Good luck!

To the poster above me, I absolutely love your daughter's name!

Annie, because its such a girls name its smooth flowing and sweet sounding and she will never out grow it. When you say Jane I think of a tough person more of a boyish girl. Repeat them both to yourself and see what you think. Sometimes its easier to name the baby after you have seen them cause they just look like that name and it fits them.

I prefer Jane. Annie is very cutesy. Go with Annabelle or Annabella and call her Annie, that's one thing. But Annie alone is too cutesy for me. Jane is a simple, classic and sophisticated name that grows with the barer.

Good luck!!

Annie because it will be easier to pick a middle name to go with it and it will sound nice with any last name.
