I don't know how it is now, but getting flatbed freight out of Florida was very difficult a few year back. I've hauled fruit out with side boards and tarp, ( covered wagon). Try getting in with some good brokers, let them know ahead of time that you are going to be in that vicinity. Good luck and happy trails.

In a word: ADVERTISEMENT. You're customers won't know you're in business if you don't let them know where you are and what services you provide. Try some radio ads, printed flyers, and business cards. Go to comanies that might need to use the type of service you provide and leave them advertising materials. Be sure to detail what you can do for them, your prices, phone number, and how to contact you... even after normal business hours. Also, get a good local web designer to build your company a functional website. Be sure your advertisement shows clearly your URL and email address.
Good Luck!

Unfortunately, you paid the trucker to deliver those refrigerators to Howard Johnsons. Since the customer refused partial shipment, the trucker has to return the merchandise to you. However, you only paid for one-way deliver, not return shipments. Read your delivery contract carefully to see whether they promise free returns. Possible, but doubtful. You should charge Howard Johnsons a returned stock fee to cover your shipping expenses.
