The Range Rover is the King of 4x4s. You don't get that kind of class with any other car.
However having tried the Q7 and the new X5 it is clear that the Germans are catching up!
If you can live with the smaller chassis the Range Rover Sport is an alternative. But I'd go for the full size RR! :-)

I would buy a foreign car. Alot of them seem to last a long time. I've known quite a few people who have had Hondas and VWs for over 10 years. They usually just had to take care of repairs due to general wear and tear. The bodies of the cars seem to rust before the engine, motor and etc. give out.
Audi and Saab are nice, too.

with 30 grand more you can get a concept car that means your the only person that would have it or for that 70k you could make your own custom lowrider nsx,viper,lotus,porshe,bmw,benz,88-90 ferrari,corvette,older royales royce,audi,skyline,asternmartin,navigator
