There was a job fair the other night for a company for which I am qualified and really want to work. However, the night of the interview I had to work late at my current job, and I didn't get to the fair until about 30 minutes before it was to close. Because I was in such a hurry to fill out my application quickly in order to have time to speak to the company's people present I think I may have not filled in some parts of my application(which I originally skipped over). They stapled my resume to my application so they have all my contact info and qualifications... how bad do you think it will hurt my chances ifI made a stupid mistake on the application, bur they still have all the info they need to contact me? I am very well qualified for the job.

I know as a Manager I look at the applications and look at neatness and would think someone was not interested enough in the job if they left out things. On the other hand I'd give them a call and talk to someone. Explain what you have just stated above, about what happened. Ask them if you can submit another application. I know I would be wiling give someone the benefit of the doubt.

Good luck

I've dumped my resume in many career fair piles and have only heard back once. If you want in at a company that wasn't going to do much anyway so don't sweat it. Call them, call their human resource dept. Follow up to the fair and say you are calling because you learned more about the job at the fair and want to know more ( have questions like who do I report to and how will I be evaluated). they will put you through to a person who can answer and ask you stuff to get the ball rolling. If you like a company hone in and go for it!

Send them an e-mail thanking the person for his time, let him know that you are very interested in working with his firm. Then add that due to time restraints that you did not have time to fill out the whole application and ask if it would be possible for you to do so now.

If you just skipped over the work history, I wouldn't worry about it since your resume is attached. But if you left out contact info on the application, then they might just skip over you.

Call them and tell the truth and ask to finish the application.

Consider this...
A mistake on an application is better than no application at all!

No, it just sounds like you've worded it in a fancy way
