hopefully your dad is doing this to help you out, or telling you he will take him in the best interest for you and your son, but to make a long explianation short, Yes he can, but more than likely NO he will nto get custody if you are doing a good job. It is your child so you have custody, unless you are an unfit parent, put the child in harms way or cannot support the child on your own.Because he doesn't agree with you, or the things you do he cannot take your child from you

Parental authority over a child is to be exercised by the parents under the law. Direct relatives like the grandparents can assume custody of the child if the parents are absent or already dead. Thus, you have the right to the custody of your son.

your dad can very well get custody of your son
do you think your dad did a good job with you if so don't fight to hard chances are hes right if you
if not get out of his house as fast as u can because he is the one taking care of your son financially and i assume you can't at the moment but the bottom line is whats in the best interest of the child good luck

It could happen... but it would have tp be done through the court system. Before it could go to the courts your local Child Protective Services Agency would have to determine that you and the baby's daddy are unfit parents. Then it would go to court and the court would decide if the child would go to family or into the state's custody. Just continue being the best parents your child can have and you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

As long as you are taking care of ur son and not putting him in any kind of danger or neglect then I don't see how he could. Sounds to me like ur dad is just using ur son to get u to do what he wants u to.

Only if he can prove you completely unfit but even then the claim leans to the biological father and not the grandfather. Either way, the courst lean towards the mother... I wouldn't worry.
