Hydrogen Peroxide that you buy at the drug store is NOT food grade safe for consumption. It contains preservatives and chemicals to make it have a long shelf life.

H.P. breaks down rapidly, so you need fresh HP produced for consumption. The amount you would take depends on the concentration level of the HP you are using. A few drops per 8 OZ of water if my memory serves me correctly.

The question I have is what are you wanting to "cure" by taking the hydrogen peroxide?

HEY PEOPLE With HEARTBURN PROBLEMS!! I found this forum because I decided to try drinking a half tspoon of the regular OTC Hydrogen Peroxide (Brown Bottle Stuff). There is a specific part of my lower esophagus that always burns way more than any other part when I get heartburn, and reflux. I kinda laid at a position that would enure the Peroxide would hit that bad spot. I have to say, it worked better than anything I've ever used. Instant relief, and no weird sugar crash, or whatever feeling I get when I use Tums, or Mylanta. I've only tried this 3 times in the past 24 hours. So don't go nuts people. But I would recommend trying it. Don't go swigging from the bottle. Lemme know how it works out for you.

Gargle w/ 1/3 peroxide, 1/3 mouthwash & 1/3 water.

Now I have heard of getting peroxide IVs, but it is not the same kind as the over the counter type. Go to an alternative medicine doctor to get it.

Nobody should ever drink hydrogen peroxide! Especially little kids! You can mix 1 part hydro to 10 parts water but do NOT swallow it. It's for gargling only.

You can gargle with a peroxide and water solution of about half and half, but, you should never swallow it. No it's not safe for kids to drink. There's a warning label, or should be, stating this on the bottle.
