Let's see, the Republicans wanted to build a fence that covered ONLY 800 miles, of the 2500 mile Mexican border.

So has the 800 mile fence been build yet? Are they planning on building a fence to cover the rest of the border?

Yes, the Republican border fence. Don't you remember when the Republicans had nothing else to run on.....they decided to build a fence across Mexico.

As a Republican, this is a disgrace. I'm not anticipating the Dems will be building one anytime soon either. This is a bi-patrisan failure.

That is a good question but remember republicans are campaigning and they say what the American public wants to hear. We do need a fence or the Army patrolling our borders crime is getting out of hand and like others have said thousands have already crossed the border, and created a burden on tax payers. Illegals do file for benefits in this country and they do get them, they go to our hospitals, I can show you in Alabama they even have daycare for illegals children which is government sponsored. I see nothing wrong if immigrants file for U.S citizenship if done through the proper channels, look at New York and how many immigrants enter this country every day applying for citizenship's or visas. The only reason illegals find work in the U.S is that Americans have become lazy or our kids find it demeaning to work in labor jobs. They do cost us money everyday , did you know if a illegal immigrant driving a car hits you with no insurance they walk away, it costs them nothing your insurance pays for the damage and yours and everyones insurance goes up. Did you know that if they go to a hospital they have to treat them and guess who pays in the long run with healthcare going up. All states need to close there borders as well as the states bordering Mexico, we need to force illegals into applying for entry into this country. The simple solution is to ban all travel to Mexico by American tourists or anyone else trying to enter their country then you will see the Mexican government patrol the borders and help us solve the problem.

I don't know. I'd say not enough, as long as we have unrestricted border crossings.

By the way, if the fence is the "Republican fence", is the unfenced portion of the border to our sovereign country to be known as the "Democratic open border"?

Sounds pretty stupid, right?

Bush has already illegally created a North American Union, which is well on its way to destroying America's sovereignty. There wont be any fence building anytime soon.

Obama voted against making the border fence longer.
Pelosi voted against building any fence. Her business is said to hire illegal aliens.

The border fence is cheaper than welfare. California alone spends over $10 billion a year on illegal aliens.

Dude, don't you know anything? We were trying to hire illegal immigrants to build the fence because the Democrats complained it cost too much in labor by hiring Americans.

I guess it is a race between the fence builders and the ladder builders.
