hi, was laid-off juz recently,,, got heated argument with boss.(swear @ me over minor issues, throw false accusation at me)..1 week later, he ask me to go, 2 days before i intend to resign......was like what the hack,least i got laid-off benefits,,,was i being too easy with him since i was ask to go on grounds of false accusations,,,i mean...being terminated & resignation on own will are two separate issues right? ...dilemma

You are right. if you are being terminated, it means you are a worker that failed to perform the expectation that you are required to achieve unless the company is restructuring.
However if you resigned, it means that you are looking for a better prospect and whether you are achieving the target, people is not so concerned.
You have to pick yourself up and look for new job. hopefully you can find a boss who recognised your effort for the company.
