Unless a person has been to every black college in the world, one can't really say that one school is better than another school unless it is not accredited. There are many Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the U.S. that has great programs. If you are interested in going to an HBCU, research the school and find out if the schools offer your program of interest, and if it is accredited.

That's hard to answer because there are a lot of good Historically Black College/Universities (HBCU). I graduated from an HBCU and I believe the school I went to was a good school. The most important thing to look at is;
*whether the school and the program (major) you are going into is accredited.
*The cost to attend the school.
*The size school you would like to attend (small or large).

Howard is probably the best, although you'll also find top programs at Fayetteville State. Get a copy of Black Collegian http://www.black-collegian.com/ and read up on the variety of academic life at the HBCUs

Since I'm white, I don't know this for fact....but I have heard that Howard is the "black" Harvard. Take that for what you will. I do know that it has some very talented alumni though, especially in their law program, and they are also big in fine arts.
