well if you run avg, then i say saftey or LB. you are too light for lineman and not fast enough to be a corner.

I think maybe Cornerback or possibly Linebacker if you put on some weight. You may want to consult with your coach and discuss this dilema. It may matter what the team already has, and you want to play a position that is needed otherwise you may not recieve any playing time. Keep working out in relation to weights and Cardio vascular conditioning. Remember to take in enough Protein and Carbohydrates to replenish you muscles and energy levels. Conditioning may put you first in line for your desired position on the team. Former Football player current Tri-athlete. Good Luck!!!!

If you really want to go defense, linebacker is the way to go. 165 pounds and 155 bench is darn good for a 15 year old. You may be too heavy to be a defensive back, and you need leg strength to push big 'ole offenslive lineman out of the way. If you try for offense, tight end and fullback would be effective for you.

You should play strong safety because of your ability to tackle but since you lack linebacker size then strong safety sounds like a good position. On offense fullback might be a good fit but you may need to gain weight to do so.

First you need work out more. A juinor your size should bench press over 200lbs.On defence you might be undersized for LB. But if your tuff you should look in to playing safety. With your size and strength I would say your an underdog, so work out every day until schools out and everyday in the summer. Coaches love to see hard workers.

You said you wanted to be on defense. You like takeing hits you run average and you can catch. So I would put you in at safty. Many people your size are either saftys or corners. Acasionaly you can be a linebacker. But you need to hit really hard. You know like a young Brian Urlacher.

I would suggest FB if you wanted offense but since you want defense go for LB.You'd probably be a little to small for DE or DT so any LB position would be good.

I think you should play linebacker or Linebacker makes use of your catching abitlitles. Linebackers also need to be big hitters and u said u can take hits really well. Plus I play linebacker and in my opinion it is the best and most fun position to play.

if you can get stronger (say AT LEAST 200lbs on the bench) and a little faster (like 4.9 or 4.8 40) then probably inside linebacker. other wise unless you get ALOT stronger or faster there are not too many positions that fit you on defense. try fullback or tigtend on offense
