I have a circumsion schedualed for myself in exactly a week, its for a medical conditon called phimosis so basically it HAS to be done. I am 16 and I would like to know if anyone has ever undergone the operation as a adult, I would like to know a bit about how the actuall procedure went and what the recovery was like (pain, abstince time etc.) and what it is like for you now vs when you were uncircumsized.

PLEASE DONT TELL ME WHY I SHOULDNT DO IT OR WHY I SHOULD OR WHY ITS A GOOD THING I JUST WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE ACTUAL PRCEDURE

The procedure itself shouldn't hurt. What may hurt is if you get erections for a few days after the procedure; that's when the pain can be felt. The procedure doesn't hurt because unlike babies they'll actually put you to sleep.

But as said before, I'm not trying to prevent you from getting circumcised; that's one of the advantages of being uncircumcised; you get to choose what you want (keep it or lose it) and end up satisfied in the end no matter what, but I just want to add that I myself had a tight foreskin a few years ago and I loosened it up by stretching, and I've loved it ever since, since it really aides in masturbation for me (as a stimulant and moisturizer for the head). A tight foreskin does not require circumcision; doctors in America just don't know much about an intact penis. As for those who have it done; I'm a moderator at a teen puberty site, and those few that have it done either like it (usually because they either chose to have it done because they wanted it or because their foreskin wasn't functioning correctly before) or don't like it (a few complaints include a less sensitive head and difficulty masturbating, since it's not there to rub the head with, so it requires a little retraining).

You should not have to be circumcised for phimosis! Please, please, read the excellent information at http://www.cirp.org/library/treatment/phimosis/

Many doctors will suggest circumcision, as it is profitable and easy for them. But it's not their penis which will be permanently mutilated! Insist on a second (and even third) opinion. As the article above explains, there are many less-destructive alternatives.

Good luck to you!

well the procedure does not hurt. what hurts it's afterwards, and it's also prone to infection. it's a pain. you are gonna have about 3 days of throbbing pain. good luck.

you do not have to go through circumcision for phimosis you can fix it with stretching and topical steroids.
