I am looking to buy an old farmhouse in PA, I cannot find the age by public records, it has a fieldstone foundation, and the round roof rafters. What age do you think this house is?

While someone may tell you that a particular style is from a specific period, this is not always accurate. A wise builder looks to the past to see what works, and stands the test of tome. Successful techniques are imitated, sometimes to great expense. Look for other clues. Was the house designed with electricity, or gas? Tool markings on exposed timbers say a lot. Good Luck!

It's hard to even guess without being able to look it over but check with the local tax office, tax appraisers or your local city clerk office they should have the history on it

If the toilets haven't been replaced you can lift the lid off the top of the tank, turn it over, and it will have a date on it.
