My libido is very low, I am not on any meds that would affect this. I do not know what to do. My husband is starting to get frustrated. Any suggestions??

First and foremost, ask yourself if your libido has taken a recent nose-dive (you may just have a naturally low sex-drive). If you've enjoyed a healthy, active sex-life before now, this could be a sign of a very serious problem-- PLEASE ASK YOUR DOCTOR!

If your period is irregular too, I'd say it's very likely that stress is the cause. If work/ kids or whatever is stressing you out, your body is going to be telling you that it's not the right time for baby-making. There are any number of reasons for this: stress, obesity, previously unknown medical conditions, pregnancy, psycological reservations, etc.

Talk to your husband (his frustration is very possibly coming from insecurities that you find him unappealing somehow), make sure YOU feel wanted/ desireable too, leave the day's hassels at your bedroom door, wear lacy underwear, and demand a little foreplay! :D

Good luck sweetie!

Okay I hope that I can help seeing as I work in a nutrition place. If you dont take a multi vitamin DO SO!!! Vitamins are very important!! You can also go into a health store like GCN (general nutrition centers) and get meds for libido. A good one is called Steal libido they make that in a mens formula as well. There is also hot plants, arginmax and a few others ... try them out with the vitamins and let me know how it works!! my email is starieskies20@yahoo.com !!

I like to think it's normal!! I like to tell my fiance that its normal to!! I have no libido whatsoever, and havent had the whole pregnancy so far, i keep reasurring him that some women get it back after they reach about halfway (?!?!) I do feel sorry for him a bit but a bath and sleep is just so much more appealing atm!! I think its due to all the hormones/sickness/tiredness that just makes u feel crappy and not want to. With all that going on its not exactly a sexy time. Maybe as time goes on in the pregnancy then yours will come back naturally, apparantly some women feel really sexy when they get to about 20-22 weeks so maybe that will happen with you. As for increasing it i dont know if it works but people have suggested things to me like a nice massage, soft lighting etc.. so maybe its worth a go. Good Luck (",)

Alot of people do not know that diet plays a HUGE roll in how amorous people are.

Get yourself a protein shake. Eat some eggs. Take some vitamin E.

If you are calorie deprived or sleep deprived both of these may play a roll.

Additionally overlooked is hydration. For certain things to, ahem, remain pert or at attention, you gotta have enough water in you. Make sure you are drinking 8 full glasses of water a day.

Go to sex store and look at the toys, vids, lubes and pick something out that you are comfortable with. They make vids that arent demeaning to woman and are meant for couples. Take a bath, throw on something that makes you feel sexy. If you are stressed or tired it might affect your drive. Schedule couple time. May not be quantity but make it quality.

Some people are visual, others need the mental stimulation others just the physical. You are old enough to know what turns you on...

PS- The more you do it the more you want it!

Try using herbal supplements. There is a popular herbal supplement for women called Lava Libido Enhancer. It's supposed to make you crave sex. It's made by a company in California. I tried their herbal supplement for men, and it did cause me to have better orgasms. There are many other herbal supplements you can try, but Lava Libido Enhancer for women is popular. There is something else you can try. You can go to Amazon.com, and order one of those vibrators for women. Women aren't like men. Men are ready for action as soon as they become excited. Lots of couples use those vibrators to have better sex.

Exercise, proper rest, and good diet. You need to be stress-free or less stressed. Determine whether you are angry or hurt by your husband. If so seek counseling. See a medical doctor. There are drugs that can help.
