can you use a ps1 memory card in a ps 2 game console?I don't understand why it let's me play them but not save them.I have to start at the beginning every time I die.I am talking about Tomb Raider II and III,TR-Legend worked fine(I guess because it's a ps2 game)

yes u can play ps1 games on a ps2 but to save the ps1 games u need a ps1 memory card

You just need a playstation 1 memory card for playstation 1 games. Both types of games will work on the ps2, but ps1 games cannot save onto ps2 memory cards.

You have to use PS1 cards for ps1 game and ps2 cards for ps2 games on the ps 2 console.

you can you just have to have a ps1 card to save 1 games and ps2 for 2 games

If you have a ps1 memorycard then you can save it using the ps2. I used to do this all the time. I played Tripleplay '98 (ps1 game) on my ps2 and could only save it if I had a ps1 memorycard.

Yes it is true. I can play my old ps1 games on my ps2 but cant save them. Also the games dont work as well so might as well forget it. my ps2 has froze while playing ps1 games on it so dont try it.
