men are generally more comfortable with expressing emotions around their close female friends than with other dude-friends. that's normal and it shows that he really trusts you enough to let his emotions rip and that you guys are genuinely good friends. enjoy this platonic friendship ; ladies should have more platonic guyfriends as it gives them a direct and more truthful approach to the men's pysche without the heartaches of dating.
