because i'm odering a japanese cd off of the internet so i was wondering if it would work in american cd players.

Yes, CDs are all in the same format so you won't have any problem. The only problem will be with DVDs. If you ever need to be a DVD from Japan, take careful note of the Region Code. North America is 1 and Japan is 2. If you buy a Japanese DVD, try to find one that is region-free. If this is not possible, then you can go to a Japanese electronics store and purchase a region-free DVD player that will play all DVDs regardless of their region code.

it should im not an expert but if it doesnt order a cd player from japan it cant be much more expesive than the cd

Yeah, they do work .
Though there is different sound formats online, like .avi, .mpg, .mpg4, .wav (etc) cds all have the same format.
It's only VHS cassettes that don't work in foreign countries.

yes but you can't understand the words and 15 minutes later you have to listen to something else.
