I am not going to choose Calvin Johnson, he's probably the best receiver in the draft but I think a RB or QB would be of greater value. If I needed a QB/RB and WR I would take my chances and go with a WR in a later round. Or they could do what the Jets did last year and take the safe pick with a great OL. I am going to say that JaMarcus Russell would be the best for the Lions. If not him, then Brady Quinn. The Lions need help everywhere, might as well start at QB.

They need the presence of a better running game, so taking Adrian Peterson would be the best need-based pick. Calvin Johnson is the best of these players, but there is no way Detroit can draft another receiver in the top 10. Adrian Peterson is a great strong, fast back who can find the endzone. Joe Thomas is an interesting pick because an offensive lineman would also make their running game better. The Ravens drafted Johnathan Ogden early and they had a strong running game his whole career. I think the arrival of an impact running back will elevate their running game and take pressure off of the passing game, allowing Roy Williams to build on his great season.

Either one of the quarterbacks (depending on if the Raiders take one of them) because they could probably get good players for those positions in the second and third round. If the Raiders don't take a quarterback, I would go with JaMarcus Russell.

it has to be joe thomas. kitna put up pretty good numbers, over 4000 yards so they dont need another QB. they have roy williams so no need for calvin. they have kev jones so no need for peterson. thomas is the only one that makes sense. or they trade down.
