Ok my Sister is 14 and shes in garde 9, she wants to know what looks more feminim or less repulsive. A lip stud or Lip ring, she wants it to be less punkish or emoish..please i need answers..10 points for the best detailed thought on this..

i'm sorry but any lip piercings look really ugly and gross.
why would she even want one? she's in 9th grade only!

The stud is definitely more feminine. A lip ring seems to have a stronger, more serious connotation with it. A lip stud is more of a personal flair than a big statement, sorta like the difference between a little shine and a big bouncing...thing.
A lot of teen girls have lip studs in Spain. I didn't think they looked emo at all.

If she wants the punk look then she should get the lip pierceing, stud or ring won't make a difference. I hope she knows that she runs a higher risk for infection with all that bacteria from the mouth.
Personally I think it looks disgusting..same with the nose piercing.
I think the eybrow ring is kinda cute, but my fave has always been the belly ring.
Tell your sister to look through pictures to see how she feels about each piercing...the good thing is that if she gets it done and doesn't like it then she can just take it out.
PS. Neosporin is the best for infected piercings.

As having considered this in my past; I am glad I never decided to do either. Now as a mature adult in the business world I see the negativity that people associate with this. Peaking for the general public both are repulsive (not meant to be rude.) I would suggest maybe a regular side nose stud and lost of studs...a skull stud to be punk or even a small gem stud to perfectly compliment an evening dress. Whatever the case tell your sister she is someone special and give her assurance to be herself; she will always be liked!

a lip ring would be more feminine and less punk than a stud would be.
id say to avoid the punk/emo look, avoid dark makeup and clothes. or at least wear a little bit of color :)
also --- if she is interested, eyebrow rings are pretty cool too. i have an eyebrow ring and im not punk/goth/emo or anything of that sort. its kind of like a casual piercing. but i would definitely go with the ring, versus the stud! good luck! :)

I was 13 and pierced mine myself with a safety pin and wore it that way for 2 about years, not feminine at all but I loved it. In my opinion a small silver gage is very feminine and delicate as long as it is a small ring and sit snugly against the lower lip, not protruding out from the lip.
Bellybutton rings are trendy and everybody and their grandmother has one. I think a lip ring is better.

Okay! First of all, you cant wear any lip piercing without looking Gothic or punkish or emoish. If your sister wants to look more feminine she shouldn't even get a lip piercing. That just look ugly, and I'm sure that its going to hurt when she dose get her lip pierced.

what exactly are u asking? like what type of ring she should wear or something. she should just be herself and go with what she likes and what she thinks looks or feels the best on her and just forget about the emo and punk thing... they are both repulsive and will probably through people off about what they think about her. she will end up looking like a punk somewhat but it just depends on the ring and how big it is or what u have on it. like if u have a dangly on it then she will look punkish and emo... so she should deside based on taste and not too much on style

I don't care for face piercings, but a stud would look more feminine and less noticeable. Maybe even a small diamond or pearl. Do they make those? I think it's nice of you to try to help your sis.

Lip stud looks less punk, lip rings look very punk or goth....they arent feminine at all, hard to kiss someone with a lip ring.

if it were me, i would go with the stud. it looks cooler and more feminine. the ring wouldn't look so hot on her. i have piercings, so i know what I'm talkin about. you could go to a piercing website and compare and contrast what the two look like on different looking girls. good luck!!
one more thing to remember, piercings are not permanent....if it ends up looking like crap, then just remove it....the hole will heal and you might be left with a tiny scar.
