Hey Beach Bum, I beg to disagree. Is it just because the Philippines is corrupt, you blame it all from the President? I tell you, Philippine economy already have taken a nose dive 3 administrations ago when Marcos steal the riches from the Philippines. It was followed by Cory Aquino who knows nothing.Next is Ramos who also knows nothing. Finally the popular Estrada who knows hows get girls, eat and gamble. It is only today that we got President that is decent enough and capable enough to govern the Philippines. She is not the best but she is better than the rest. FOR YOUR INFORMATION, there 24 senators , and most of them are corrupt. They are getting HUGE amount of budget each year and spending it on escort girls (high end prostitutes) or casinos. We also have significant number of Congressmen who are actually doing the same thing. These senators and congressmen are voted by most stupid Filipinos who readily sold their votes for money or who just believe that these thieves will raise them from poverty. You can feel corruption in the Philippines from the lowest unit of Government to the Halls of the senate. Only a number of responsible, concerned Filipinos knows this. My point is corruption in the Philippines is NOT MAINLY CAUSED by the president herself. Take it from me because I live 30 years of my life in the Philippines.

Philippine media is exposing so much the bad things that are happening to the Philippines resulting to a negative image to the world. Instead, stories of successes of Filipinos and how to help the government must be the mission of the media to project the Philippines as a good country.

Because there are real problems in the Philippines with corruption. The president of the Philippines is as corrupt as they come and there seems no end to her reversing her steps. The media portrays this actually to do good... to bring out this corruption in hopes the world will care, pay attention and hopefully help.
