I think guys like a girl to how just a lil knowledge of the game. I mean they would be annoyed if whilst watching a footy match, a girl or group of girls keep asking about why they're not doing this or what's the offside rule etc etc..
It's just like saying when a girl goes shopping with her bloke or a guy & she asks him what his opinion of something is she expects him to reply & give informal advice. Same as in football I guess.

Not really. Or not at all.
I prefer the girl that knows only a few of the football and do much concentrate on their own hobbies and interest.

I think it's great. Especially if she's a sexy girl from Argentina!!! How great it is to curl up on a couch and watch football with a girl who understands what's going on in the game. Men who are insecure with an inteligent and informed woman are probably insecure in other areas that are more intimate

If a girl knows more about football than a guy, he will feel emasculated. Its pathetic, but the truth.

Why do men presume they know everything about football in the first place?
Surely that's just a myth.
With the new rules even they don't know offside any more!
LMAO at the replies you are getting!

i find its an easy way to start a convo with a guy - breaks the ice.
i know quite a bit bout footie and i don't act masculine [quite opp actually] is just that men want to be the superior and think they know all bout the sport and when a girl comes along and knows more their "manhood/ego" shrinks!! its all about pride! lol

If she really knows what she's talking about, then yeah. But if she's pretending and keeps asking questions all the time, then let me watch it alone. I don't need to be interrupted while watching my favorite team. And I don't need a girl hanging around talking about which player is her favorite because he is cuter then some other player.

No, a girl that likes football is probably a bit too masculine for us. It's good if she gets the gist of it, but if she knows the injury status of John Terry it's gone too far.
