Senate democrats are moving to restrict what our troops can do in Iraq. Isn't that exaclty why we lost the war in Vietnam?! A war can't be fought that way. This is no time to start tying the hands of our military.

The Democrats must learn from their mistakes, What happened to Vietnam must not be repeated in Iraq as claimed by most of the Americans.

Are you speaking of the newly elected Senate & Congress? If so, don't you think that you might just give them a bit of time to sort things out before you conclued that they are all wrong? Lets see, they have been in office a bit over a month, I really don't understand why everything wasn't done yesterday!
Our troops have won the war against the Iraqi army, now there is Civil War in the country & we should take sides? Which side?
By the way, we did not lose the war in Vietnam, the protesters caused so much trouble, the people were yelping about the #'s of dead & wounded, the government had no choice but to remove our troops. In fact, we were winning that war; the problem was that it took too long & the people tired of it. We were used to fighting wars such as were fought during the 1st & 2nd WW's. Standing armies, fight, win & out! Why don't you take a breath & lets see what happens?

The Vietnam war was lost because of a horrific decision to invade a country that did not want to be invaded.

Iraq has been lost, not by Dems recent votes, but by mismanagement of the war, poor intelligence, and underestimating a people that do not want our version of DemocraZy.

The Iraq war has been lost for nearly 4 years now, but you think a recent vote that hasn't even taken effect yet is the cause?

That's pure comedy you misinformed dolt. Pull your head out of you *** and take a deep breath.

Well, let's see--first of all the democrats are not restricting anyone in the military from doing a damn thing connected with their job---the restrictions that they are trying to lay out here is measures to restrict Bush in his single-minded rabid mindset to escalate a military situation that is already out of control !!!

And, you bring up Vietnam-- Iraq IS this present generation's Vietnam--- Bush was told that it would become that and he chose not to give a damn !!

One more thing before closing--- what besides killing the Hussein family and turning the country of Iraq into a killing field has the last three years of UNFETERED TROOP ACTIVITY brought to this thing ??? If you say that it is the "tying of their hands" and "restrictions" that is supposed to make this like Vietnam--- why is it that after all of this time under the Republican Guard (the Washington DC branch) with what you evedently believe to be TOTAL ACCESS to do "what needs to be done" --- have we not seen anything but more of the same month in and month out FOR YEARS NOW with no word to this day of an END POINT to it all---- seems to me-- that if the troops have been laboring under a total freedom to act and THAT is what it takes--- we would have seen something more of it all than we have !!!!
One more point---I'd like to point out to YOU that it was a Republican---DD EISENHOWER that got us into Vietnam to begin with ---baling out his old WWII pal Degaulle----and at the end of it all --- It was a Republican that gave up on Vietnam to buy some political cloat at the apex of a major personal crisis that had come of his own rabid reach for POWER !!!!

First Poster: said. Political help between the wealthy is completely fantastically gently chop up. there is very few misperceptions floating round. Which one, if any, you carry count on who you pay interest to. Liberals will allow you to comprehend all wealthy actually everyone looks grasping and help Republicans becuase Republicans are grasping. Its only a political message designed to get you to purchase into larger taxes. on the different hand, Republicans get the effect that lots of the wealthy help Democrats because those that do are extra vocal about it. they're extra renowned and position themselves on center level at the same time as they do it. Soros and Warner are acceptable examples. you also get into the problem of truly wealthy human beings contributing to both political events. both in my opinion or by a employer. As for Hollywood, the guy who said A-record celebrities are Republican is in simple terms flat out incorrect. it really is the only crew of wealthy that are fairly and extremely liberal. no longer all of them, there are some exceptions. yet by a recommendations maximum of them.

They aren't. The Democratic party's plan on Iraq is to follow the plan of the Iraqi Study Group, Generals, etc... all the ones that Bush said he would listen to but then proclaimed himself the decider.

They just want to restrict what the president can do. Typical Republican liar.

P.S. Restricting what the president does is their job.
