At the end of your next work day, mention to your immediate supervisor, that you need to speak with him. Then just tell him/her that you have taken a positon at a new company and your last day will be blah blah blah. Be professional about it, no matter what kind of company it is you are leaving. And best of luck with your new job.

Usually a letter thanking the company for the opportunity, and letting them know that you have decided to move on with your career with another firm / industry. Two weeks is a standard for the time frame. It also doesn't hurt to sit down and talk with your manager before you hand in a letter, keeping a strong reference is always a good thing to have.

A formal letter of resignation. Be polite, never burn your bridges behind you, tell them you regret having to leave your position with them, and be short.

Good luck
