Yes, personally I don't think that this stuff should be on public telvision. I think that there should be another channel for all this stuff. Sure, letting the public know that Anna Nicole Smith died was fine but they should have said "Today Anna Nicole Smith died in Flordia. For more details tune to channel **" Not everyone cares.

While I am annoyed at their constant media coverage, I do think that they provide a certain amount of... hilarity to an otherwise depressing world of global warming, political scheming, and war. What really scares me is that we, the viewers, will not stop giving these stories our attention. Why do I find it is so easy to find out what is going on with Britney Spears or Anna Nicole Smith, but at the same time, I don't know my own President's plans for our country's war. I'll tell you why the media bombards us, the public, with this celebrity gossip crap; it is because the news stories that really matter globally get lower ratings. The shows that get better ratings get better advertising deals, and in the end, it's all about money.

Kinda! I feel bad for Anna Nicole's daughter and I am interested in hearing what they are going to end up doing with that poor little girl. I hope they end up doing the right thing. As for Britney Spears I feel bad for her cuz she get all this bad publicity. I mean she can't be the only mom in this world that doesn't buckle in her kids...I think they should leave her alone and let her raise her kids. As for her shaving her head...good for her...if that's what she wants to do then fine. Its her hair and she can do with it want she wants. I like Britney Spears and I just hope that she can get her life in order without being the laughing stock of tabloids.

Well i personally like Britney spears but i really think she needs to chill out and settle down as for shaving her head what was she thinking? Anna Nicole Smith yeah so over that

YES! What counts as 'news' these days is just ridiculous! Seriously, this morning I turned on CNN Headline News and they were broadcasting the Anna trial LIVE! WHAT??? CNN?? I mean, I know CNN can have a lot of fluff, but there are so many REAL stories out there that effect US everyday...climate change, the disappearing middle class, the war in Iraq, the UN invading in Haiti...There is so much that should be reported in main stream media. One really has to seek out real news these days if you want to be informed. It's just absurd!

Yes. Personally I don't understand celebrity worship/obsession. I think that's what drives them (Britney) to do such weird things in the first place. Why do people spend so much of their precious time in their lives reading about, watching shows, and talking about celebs? I can understand being a fan of someone, or appreciating a good entertainment performance but there's a limit.

Reading about Celebs exploits gets on anyones nerves after a while definitely cause the media just goes on and on with the story it becomes ran out and the public gets tired of hearing it

Like the new show Dirt says on their ad, nothing selld better than death! Britney is simply having a meltdown because it's not her entirely in the media, she's having to share the spotlight with a dead person. She's a spoiled brat!
