Why would I need my phone to be waterproof? Am I going to call people while scuba diving?

I hear "I can't believe that I bought that story that my phone was waterproof! I knew I should never have thrown it in the tub"
Electronics + water = bad. I don't care that there are plenty of electricals that work in water. Cell phone quality sucks - a slight bump and they malfunction - expect me to trust one in water?! hahaha

Wondering why a phone would end up underwater often enough that you need to water proof it.
