Having trouble opening iTunes?

I was trying to update my iTunes and I updated it and everything successfully and then when I tries to open it an error repeort came up reading "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close" So then I've tries unistalling it and installing it and restarting and all of that but the same thing happens every time... Last time this happened a computer tech came out and fixed it. So now what should I do? It's a XP computer... Please help!

Being an expert in that area I would say, get a new computer.
