I don't think the question was best player, if I'm reading it correctly and I think I am, it says best PERSON.

I can only go off of what I've read and my personal experiences and Shane Battier was the first person to come to mind. He is a nice guy if you ever meet him in person. He's also intelligent, considerate, and involved in charitable work. The NBA needs ALOT more guys like him

The best person would be Chris Webber, because he's a very smart, kind person, and he cares a lot about the world and he has a good sense of humor. And he really knew the meaning of teamwork, and was really close friends with his teammates in Sacramento.

yeah im so sick of these "who's the best..." questions too because there's a million of em!

anyway everybody is answering this like you were asking who the best player is, but since you didnt clarify i'm assuming you meant person as in their personality right??? well that would go to dikembe mutumbo. i hear he is a genuinely nice guy. he also does a lot of charity work for his community in houston and in his homeland in africa. what a great man!
