Soccer players run far more then Tennis players, don't be fooled. But just because they run more does not mean that they exert more energy over the match. Playing tennis is exhausting because players need to remain focused for the entire match, they don't jog or run, but do small sprint (few sprints are just as trying as a long jog.) plus they do a lot of stopping and starting which is exhausting by itself. In soccer, when the ball is out of the zone, players can slack a little to regain energy for when they need it.

But to get back to you question, Soccer players undoubtedly cover more ground running then Tennis players do. Some midfielders even run over 10 miles in a single game!

Soccer players run a lot more. This varies by position, but they have estimated that David Beckham runs 10 miles on average per match. Soccer players run in quick bursts and in long extended periods, but tennis players only make brief runs to get to the ball.

ok I dont know the facts so I will give my ideas to you to ponder on
1) How big is a soccor field ?
2)How big is the area where a tennis player would run?
3) Compare the two

ok now
1) How long do either matches last?

and
How many times in an average game does a soccor player run up and down the field?
How many times in a match do tennis players run back and forth?

Think about these ideas really hard and the answer will come to you

Ok ok I will go ahead and tell you the soccor player

Yes, there was a show on TV where they tested athlete's from different sports. A soccer player was declared the fittest. Why? They play for an hour running up and down that field, you could measure the distance run in miles.

only person on a soccer team that runs less would be the goalie. Even with the 11 players a soccer field is exponentially bigger and think about all the balls the the ennis player doesn't chase on account theyare aces or out or fault or hit the net. and in games of doubels there are two people on each side.
