Well my friend said that there were two girls who tried out for the role of Dorothy in the movie and the girl who didn't make got really jelous of the girl who did, and so she hung herself on the set while they were filming it. And the director or nobody saw it until the filming was done so they left it in the backround since it was hard to notice, it supposedly happens when the scarecrow falls down after walking along with Dorothy and the Tin Man, so you can see her in the backround hanging from a tree (like you can see her hair or something?) So I was just wondering if this was true. Since I don't own the movie, also if there is a clip of that part of the movie on the internet if you could paste the link as well. Thanks alot!

i heard u could see one of the dwarfs in the background who had hung himself....... that wasnt true so i doubt this one is.....

No, there isn't a girl hanging in the movie. On Tv Land they had a show called "Myths and Legends". They stated that no one hung themself from a tree in the movie. If you want to see something freaky check out the movie "Three men and a Baby". The part where his mom comes over to see the baby. There is a little boy standing by the curtain. You can see him perfectly for just a second so you have to pause the movie in just the right spot.

There is no real proof that it was anyone hanging him or her self. This is something that has been passed around since the first sighting of the incident. There are too many theories on what it could be. Though after careful and thorough examination of the footage, it has been determined by professionals that most likely (although still uncertain) that it was only a shadow (so they say...maybe we'll never know the real truth...)

Ok so here is what happend
The directors daughter treyed out for dorthey in wizard of oz and didn't get the part.so she snuck on stage and hung her self u can see her in the scare crow part and it's just a shadow.its very hard to see.i also didn't know this until my friend told me.

its possible. You never know. I know someone hung themselves but I don't know who. Some people say its a bird. Others a heartbroken dwarf hanging himself. Looking around there and you'll see something kind of swing. Hope this helps.

I heard it was one of the Munchkins that hanged themself. It never really happened. It's just one of those urban legends.

it wasnt a girl it was a guy. it was becasue of depression and if you close in the movie you can see it. its soooooooooooo COOL!!!
