It looks like an old article, since they talk about a 2003 mission, but at least you can have an idea: it would take about 7 months to get on Mars.

"The distance between Mars and Earth is constantly changing since both planets are orbiting the Sun at different rates and are at different distances from the Sun. For the 2003 mission, it will take 7 months to reach Mars."

Less than one year. The rovers that are now on Mars were launched in June 2003 and arrived on Mars January 2004, so it was a 7 month trip for them. See the source. A manned vehicle would take the same amount of time.

It is possible to get there in less than nine months but it wuoud take a lot biger rocket and cost a heck of a lot more.

Just as asking how long it takes to drive from New York to LA is depending on how fast and if there are any stops on the way.

That is one reason for building a station on the moon. They can go to the moon and then to mars faster than from the earth.

It takes less than a year (about 220 days,) by spacecraft, to reach Mars. But remember that planets move, so you also have to talk about how long you stay and when you make the trip.

At optimum it takes like 30-40 days. At UN-OPTIMUM it takes more like 6 months.

AFTER THAT you have to wait 18 months for it to reposition.

There is only a 6 month or so launch window every 2 years.
