Both are amazing notebooks, but in my opinion after owning a PC notebook and having my hubby own a Mac, I would definitely say that the Mac is more fun to use and work with. I am myself about to purchase a Macbook simply for that reason. On top of that with the new program of Parallels, you can always still run a Windows application while you are using the Mac. It wasn't like that before, which is what halted me from buying a Mac, but now with that option, I just feel like you can't go wrong. I do numerous things in Internet Explorer, being a doctor, that do not run on other programs such as Firefox or Safari, so the Parallels program is exactly what I would need.
Hope that helps!

Mac's are so far superior to PC Laptops, that the choice should be clear.
Please let me give you several reasons why:
1. No Viruses (PC's are susceptible to 114,000 Viruses)
2. The OS is based on UNIX (actually FreeBSD which is a variant)
3. They just work.. Plug nearly anything in.. and it just works.
4. iTunes is a native application which makes your iPod work better.
5. Much better for graphic applications than PC's
6. The look and feel of the operating system is much more intuitive than Windows
7. Widgets (Cool mini-applications that you can download)
8. iLife is included (iMovie,iDVD,iPhoto etc)
9. More fun to play with !!
10. No 'Registry' to deal with
11. No Popups
12. Garage Band (A cool application to make music with)
13. You can run Windows XP on a Mac (not that I would) but you can't run Mac stuff on Windows)
14. You can use Microsoft Office on a Mac
I hope this will lead you to the right choice.
Once you switch to a Mac, You won't go back !

Virus resistant? So they say, but that still remains to be seen. Either nobody cares about writing viruses for Macs or they can't find any decent holes. Who knows. There's nothing...yet. I absolutely love my MacBook Pro. If windows isn't cutting it for you you should definitely try a Mac.

Get a MacBook. It's more flexible, it costs less, and you have your choice of running Mac OS X or Windows. You can even buy one with Windows installed under Boot Camp.

It is my opinion that brand doesn't matter. Look for the features that you want or need, and buy that machine. Macs are good, and PCs are good. They aren't significantly different anymore.
