I am a big Prince fan and have always appreciated his talent and Genuis. I am just wondering if his album/cd sells increased after his AMAZING superbowl performance for 3121??

I'd guess that some folks who enjoyed his performance did go pick up a Greatest Hits if they didn't already have one or more of them.

Prince has had nearly 20 top 10 hits as well as all the movie soundtracks, studio work with other artists, and numerous songs written for other artists become hits. He's also in both the U.S. and U.K. Rock n Roll Halls of Fame and an authoritatively acclaimed musical genius so at this point I wonder if his album sales are a matter of great concern to him.

The people that were surprised at how great Prince's halftime show was obviously don't know much beyond the current musical news and aren't real music fans. Anyone paying attention to music for the past 20 years or more is aware of Prince's contributions, achievements and status in upper tiers music.

I've never seen Prince not give a phenomenal performance.
