When I play two hand touch football on the street, I catch everything thats thrown my way ( I am a wide Reciver). I never drop a single one. But when I put on pads and play for my High schol football team I drop alot. Is it something to do with the pads? Because i have alot of talent. But, I just don't deliver whern the pads are on me. Why?

Your pads may cause a lack of mobility in your arms and shoulders, meaning you can't reach out for the ball as easily. It may be a cause of getting scared, but it doesn't sound that this is the case. It may be a case of getting nervous under pressure, which you would know if this is if you can catch in practice or warm-ups with pads but can't in a game or when the coach is watching.

Nothing to do with pads. Either your street quarterback throws the ball too easy or yours hands arent strong enough to catch the balls thrown by your teams quarterback or you are just afraid of getting hit when you are in pads whereas on the street you dont have to worry about getting jacked up.

The pads put weight on your shoulders which cause you to drop the ball. When you play street ball you have nothing on so of course it is easy. You dont have talent if you cant work in different enviornments and adapt quickly.

maybe when you play HS football, you get "alligator arms" because you are scared of getting hit. or maybe you want to impress your coaches/teammates too much and start thinking about running after the catch before you secure the football
