Barnesandnoble.com should have what you're looking for.

go to amazon.com and find the book that you have....then scroll down the page and click on "look for similar items by subject." This MAY help....also, sometimes they tell you what readers who bought this book bought in addition, and sometimes they are related. Also, sometimes they have details, like buy this book and buy a second one with it--the second one is oftentimes similar. Play around on Amazon, read reviews....sometimes people will say if you like this, you'll like that book and give other suggestions. Amazon is a good place to start. Or, you could ask a question on here about what books are similar to The Perfect Man (and provide the author). Good luck.

EDIT: Debbie C's library idea is a great one too. But, I must add, you don't have to have read the book to search for similar books by using keywords on the library catalog database. Find The Perfect Man in the library catalog, and the listing will tell you the keywords that the book falls under. Then, using these SAME keywords, search for a book. Also, a lot of library web sites have book search databases, so you don't actually have to go into the library. Here's one: santacruzpl.org (my local library).

Try Campusi.com. It will try to find the cheapest book if available from over 40 search engines.
