You should never use epsom salt as a laxative if there are other alternatives around because this will dehydrate your body too much.

no, the body cleanses the colon naturally and I never heard of salt being a laxative. IF you are trying to lose weight 1. you will retain water and 2. the only weight you lose is what your body eliminates in waste. the body has already adsorbed the calories etc.

You Never use table salt in an aquarium. Most table salt is iodized to prevent Iodine deficiencies. Iodine deficiencies can cause gout and preventable mental retardation in developing children among many other ailments. Iodine can also kill your aquarium stock. Go with Marine salt. That way you are sure the water in your fish tank most closely mimics the environment form which your brackish aquarium stock come from.

Epsom Salt is Magnesium sulfate (MgSO4). The amounts you use for a laxative should be indicated on the box.

The only way we use epsom salt is to make bath salts. Maybe check with your doctor on this one.

That's supposedly a cleanse for the liver*. Regardless, I wouldn't recommend doing it very often as it's rough on the body. You should choose instead to eat healthy, high fiber foods. There are various vitamin & herbal combinations available at health food stores like Whole Foods and they would be a healthier option.

If you are eating enough fiber in your diet, you shouldn't need to use a laxative. If constipation is an issue, be careful regarding increasing sodium intake because that can cause additional health issues.

Over-the-counter medications for the purpose of constipation relief should be used according to package directions. If this is ineffective, contact your physician.

I dont think its a natural way, its just if ur having trouble with constipation. It says on the carton how much to take if ur constipated, and how often to take it for. Also ask ur dr, he is the only one who can give u the best advice. I hope this helps.
