Who thinks Black People are the best singers and dancers in the world?

Honest Answers only. I am not being racist. I see so many people trying to dance and sing like Black People. Look at American Idol.

I think they are probably the best athletes. But singing and dancing is a talent that many are races possess. Yah, you hear them on the hip hop stations all day. But there are many other types of music where there are majority non-black. As far as dancing, how many black "professional" lead dancers have been on Dancing with the Stars? (E.G.)

To say that blacks are the best singers and dancers in the world would be extremely biased . There are many people of color who are famous for singing and dancing but there are also just as many non african americans, latinos, Asians, and Europeans that can sing. It just depends on who you pay more attention to . Do you know any other singers around the world? Also you need to take into account what genre of music are we talking about? Country, Opera, Samba, Salsa, or just R & B ? Since you said like black people then I assume you are talking about the predominent african american culture that other people and cultures immitate. Well there are many great singers like Etta James, Cab Calloway, Bille Holliday, etc. but there are also great non-african american singers like Frank Sinatra, Bonnie Rae and Faith hill. Its all depends on whats around you.

I believe that black people did set the standard, and that they have been extraordinary. I also believe that the quality of black R&B music has been watered down to make it easier for white people to compete. Consider the quality of music from the sixties up until the eighties and remeber how black people dominated the grammys back then, and look at the way it is now. Singers that are considered good now don't even compare.

Im not being racist and to tell you the truth im mostly asian but honestly I do think they are better singers. Except Im a very good dancer, and I think that all kinds of people can be good dancers, however, I realize that a lot of girls of all races cant move their hips in the way I can, weird huh?

Before Rap music, I would probably have agreed with you. And as far as American Idol goes: Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Taylor Hicks are not black.

Obviously black people sing and dance better then white people. Even they know that and is why they have always been so obsessed with black culture historically. Some people are saying that they are equal just different, but that's bull crap. Blacks are way better in those spheres. Even Latinos and Indians have displayed more talent then white people. The only time white people really sing and dance OK is when they are imitating blacks

I don't think that's true, but depends on what you define as good singing and dancing. As Black people we have a culture and a certain way of dancing and singing that is now become popular in American society.

Well not being stereotypical, but black people have very powerful voices and besides its all blessings from Africa that black people are good at the arts.

i never looked at it like that, but when thinking about my cds none are black, but then again i do not like any kind of hip hop, there are songs once in awhile that catch my ear. and i like them and they happen to be by black people. but otherwise, sorry, i don't think they are the best, i think they are among the best.
