I don't know, but it is just silly. We raise and show llamas. I've seen parents at fairs grab their kids and tell them to stay away from those llamas or they will get spit on, yet they will let them stick their hands in a stall with a horse that has a "horse may bite" sign on the stall! Most llamas are very sweet and gentle. They usually only spit at each other to resolve issues over food, not at people. The only llamas that get aggressive toward people are llamas that were never properly trained or who were mistreated by people at some point in their lives.

Not all of them are. I have met many nice llamas and only 1 mean one. This llama chewed up the grass I gave him and spit it in my face. He was a real jerk!

I really don't have an opinion an llamas, but maybe it's cuz they are big and kinda scary

They can be aggresive animals.
