Yes sisters do hide behind weaves and relaxers although not all have the hoochie wear or the bad attitude. Sisters should wear their hair natural because their hair is beautiful but the black community has to also learn to embrace black features like kinky hair in order for most sisters to stop wearing weaves and perming their hair. Most will never admit to wanting to look white and that they are proud to be black but they try everything to be like white women including their hair. Sisters wear perms not even weaves so much that they wouldn't be able to take care of their hair or style it with out a perm. That's how addicted we are too it and people with weaves and perms should feel bad because they are trying to be something they are not. Yes white people wear weaves but again why are we trying to be like them instead of ourselves and try to justify because white people do it too?

What the hell is wrong with you. You really need a life, this is the third question I've seen with you trying to bash black woman, maybe the problem isn't with black women, the problem you have is with yourself. I have no relaxer in my hair, but I do wear weaves, under my weave I have a full head of hair and I'm not hiding a damn thing. Some black women like myself, wear weaves because its convienient for them, wearing weaves minimizes the time you would usually take to style your own hair. Some black females like myself also wear weaves, because WE have the personality and the style to pull off a different look and Some black females wear weaves because they have to, some people hair is bald, thin or just damaged, or maybe they do it just because they can. Everything you listed there, that some black females do, So what!!! Maybe your UGLY and your hiding something, if you can't switch up your style, don't hate on the females that can do it and look good doing it. And for your information, white females and other races, wear weaves just as much as black females. Wearing hair pieces and Wigs go back to the 1950s maybe even further, so you need to educate yourself and take a good look in the mirror, cause evidently you have a problem with yourself.

I love my relaxed hair simply because it is easier to manage. I also loved my natural hair but it was too time consuming. As for the whole weaves thing I am lucky and I don't have to wear a weave because my hair is naturally long(maybe because I am part Indian). But just because I have a relaxer doesn't mean I am hiding behind something! I have nothing to hide! You also sound very ignorant by the way! Sorry to break it to you but I am not poverty stricken and I certainly don't have a slave mentality! All my life I have lived in a house, had clothes on my back, and food on the table. And are you sure people aren't just laughing at you. Don't try to group us all together. Stop generalizing because it is making you look foolish. Maybe you should try to better yourself and stop being fake!
P.S. Read your question and make sure it doesn't make you look idiotic before posting it!

I think your stereotyping, I do none of the above. I sometimes straighten my hair just for a different look not because I'm trying to hide my true texture. There are a lot of beautiful natural women, intelligent, in shape, classy Black women but it seems that society only gives attention to the loud, bad attitude, overweight, weave wearing fake women.

Wow, ok, I'm just going to address the hair thing and say that I wish the black women who put chemicals and a lot of weave in their hair were the minority

What is with your questions about black hair? It's great that you decided to go natural. That doesn't mean you have to insult people who prefer to wear their hair straight.
It's fantastic that you've, once again, slapped all black women into the same category. There are enough people besides other black women who already do this, don't join in with their ludicrous rants.
Be who you want to be and stop worrying about what others do with their own lives.
Remember, when you point your finger at a person, three more fingers are pointing back at you.

Ace knows whats up.
Has anyone ever noticed on the home perm bottles and on the dye boxes there is a warning that says "do not use while pregnant."
That is a clear indication that those products are bad for your body.
