My optician told me this:
1. Rinse lenses under cool/tepid running water to remove particles.
2. Apply a tiny bit of liquid dish detergent like Dawn and water, then rub gently.
3. Rinse again under running water.
4. Dry with a lint free cloth. (e.g. a lens towel, baby wash cloth, old piece of cotton t-shirt)
It works for me & I haven't scratched my lenses.
(You can use the special spray pump lens cleaner but it is basically detergent w/ a bit of alcohol & water.)

With a lens cleaner and cloth (lint-free). You can find them pretty much anywhere glasses are sold.

I use water and dry them with paper towels. I use the cleaning fluid every couple of days.
