I have three gecko's and all of them do the tail shake thing just before they strike. I think it is cool!Sometimes they accidentally get one another when they go for the same cricket. Thats not so cool.

My leopard gecko does that too. I think it is when they are stalking prey. But she also did it when she saw a fake lizard. It might be to look bigger.It also might be excitement. I don't really know but it is normal.

Yep all mine do it. my first one that i had (he died at 15 yrs old) used to shake his tail really fast and make a hole in the sand it was so funny and cute.

possibly it truly is the equivalent of having so excited (over the food) that "chills" run down it truly is backbone. I had 2 American toads that should "faucet" the middle ft on their hind ft when I placed crickets of their tank. wager it truly is a reptile/amphibian ingredient we will never understand.
