I agree completely. But unfortunately, we have a news media that has become more interested in smut than in substance. :(

Yes, there are more important news stories in the world than what should be done with Anna Nicole Smith's body (I believe it's just been decided that she'll be buried beside her son in the Bahamas) and what Britney Spears is doing to herself. You mentioned the stories that I think we should be hearing MUCH more about!

You're right...But, the print and electronic media are often a reflection of what people want and buy.
Wrongfully, it's not the news that counts, it's what sells. And, worse, the way in which the news is presented is often reflective of being entertained and not informed.

It just goes to show you what kind of nation we really are. We're all caught up in superficial garbage. Try watching Fox news, they hardly talk about anna nicole smith that much and they talk about REAL news....not the type of local news and fake news like Insider

I thought the same thing. There is a show on Headline News called Entertainment Tonight. I would say that's where it should be broadcast.

its one of those political distractions
for example....clinton was getting in the media in a bad way for kuwait.....so he simply got a blow- job
now bush is getting criticism for his doings in Iraq, so he poisoned the hoochie, to give himself a couple of weeks "off", from the negative media
thats my theory!
