I am desperately searching for 2 children's books from the 1980's. I can see them both in my mind but cannot remember the titles or the publisher so thought I'd have a try on here on the off chance if anyone recognises the descriptions...
They were sold in WHSmith in the 80's and they were quite an expensive book for the time.
One was about gardening and one was a cookery book, there may have been other kinds... they were square in shape and spiralbound, quite weighty, the gardening book was mainly green, and the thing I remeber most is the illustrations... each diagram had lots of tiny little people taking part in the cooking, gardening etc. The illustrastions made the books.
Does anyone recognise these at all from my vague description? Does anyone remember them? I've been trying to remember the title and publisher for quite a while now and i've decided I'll never be able to remember. Can anyone shed any light on the subject?

do no longer lose the religion! in line with hazard the agent who has help you down ought to provide you comments as to why they desperate to no longer determination your artwork whilst that they had initally looked so prepared? If no longer, then in line with hazard examine over the artwork lower back, in line with hazard ask a depended on chum to offer you helpful comments, and then do slightly enhancing if needed. and then deliver it out lower back! JK Rowling have been given rejected from approximately 15 publishers and brokers previously she replaced into useful - i think of it fairly is the norm now for people who make it. Get addresses from publishers and brokers from the author's preparation manual, toddlers' Writers and Artists' Yearbook, or The Writers and Artists' Yearbook, all extremely incredibly from Amazon. Then do slightly examine, into what this is that brokers are in seek of, and additionally the varieties of books in particular that are advertising properly on the 2d - in case you are able to arise with a merchandising perspective then you certainly can comprise this in the question letter you deliver out. As I pronounced on the initiating, do no longer lose faith. If it replaced into trouble-free, then absolutely everyone could be doing it. manage each and each rejection slip as a badge of honour. a minimum of you have written 2 novels and are attempting to get them revealed, that's extra beneficial than a lot of human beings can say. reliable good fortune and right this is hoping we would be seeing your call in print previously too long!

Start heading to libraries, both school and public, and ask the lady. Childrens' librarians know every childrens' book that was ever published, usually by heart. They're just amazing.

The risk is that you'll get distracted in the library and never get back to your original project.
