I want to buy a new computer and wish to have all the data transferred to the new one.

use the usb cable and the transfer wizard in windows....

Yes its highly likely that the virus's would also be transfered i would suggest you back up the files you want to keep onto dvd just scan each file you want to keep for viruses and spy/adware before burning to disk

Use a USB Memory Stick, 1 or 2GB should work enough. Maybe even the 1GB is too much.

Buy one of those thingy USB memory sticks... then transfer bit by bit...

Or maybe put them on disks put zip them...

use a usb flash drive and change over a few at a time, then clear the flash drive and move a few more
